  • Q. When do registrations for each of the categories commence?

    • Marathon and DHL Corporate Champions : Tuesday, July 22nd 2014, 10 am IST
    • Half Marathon : Wednesday, July 30th 2014, 10 am IST
    • Dream Run : Tuesday, September 2nd 2014, 10 am IST
    • Senior Citizens’ Run & Champions with Disability categories: Monday, September 8th 2014, 10 am IST
  • Q. What is the last date to submit entries for each of the categories?

    No. Requests for registration will not be entertained post closure of respective registrations dates.

  • Q. How can an overseas applicant apply for the Event?

    An overseas applicant can apply ONLY through online registrations

  • Q. What are the various modes of entry fee payment?

    1. Cheque (only local Mumbai cheques will be accepted)
    2. Demand Draft (payable at Mumbai)
    3. Cash (only Indian Rupee currency will be accepted)
    4. Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net banking (only for Online Registration)
  • Q. In whose name should the cheque or demand draft be made?

    All cheques/demand draft to be drawn in favour of “PROCAM INTERNATIONAL LTD.-SCMM”

  • Q. Which payment mode will be accepted for online registration?

    An online applicant can pay ONLY via credit card, net banking or debit card.

  • Q. How will my entry acceptance be intimated to me?

    If you have provided your correct email id on the entry form, you will be sent an email confirmation. A physical confirmation letter will be sent to you by post ONLY if you have not provided your correct email address on the form. You can also check the status of your entry online  within 15 working days of submitting application.

  • Q. Can I register for more than one race?

    No. An individual can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen, will be rejected. Multiple applications will entail all being rejected.

  • Q. Can I register for my friend?

    No. An applicant has to sign the waiver himself/herself. You cannot register on your friend’s behalf.

  • Q. Is there any criteria for confirming my application for the marathon/half marathon category?

    In order to apply for either of the categories, you must have fulfilled the following criteria:

    Your entry to the marathon / half marathon race category will be confirmed based on the criteria given below.

    (i) A Timed Runner

      • You must have participated in an AIMS ratified/recognised distance running event or a distance running event which was conducted under the aegis of a State/district athletic association or sports control board affiliated to the Athletics Federation of India, conducted within the period of 18 months preceding race day, i.e. 18th January 2015.
      • Timings recorded in the running events mentioned on the Timing India website (http://www.timingindia.com/calendar.php) and timed races mentioned in race calendar on www.procamrunning.in/RUNNING-EVENTS can be considered by the organizers to qualify for the marathon race category. Timings of relay races/events will not be considered.
      • If applying for Marathon (42.195 km):Timings of only marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.097 km) distances will be considered to qualify for the marathon race category.
      • If applying for Half Marathon (21.097 km):Timings of only marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.097 km),15 Km run and 10 Km run distances will be considered to qualify for the half marathon race category.
      • Submit a photocopy of the timing certificate acquired by you at the running events (as mentioned above) along with your application form.
      • If applying for Marathon (42.195 km): To be eligible for this confirmation under this criterion, your timing certificate needs to show your finish time as specified below:

    Note: The qualification timings mentioned above are only to consider eligibility for confirmation in the marathon race category. However, on race day, SCMM 2015 timing results and certificates will be generated only for runners who complete the marathon distance within 6 hours and 30 minutes from start time.

    * Recognized timed relay races, where an individual runner covers a distance of minimum 10 km, will be considered to qualify for Half Marathon race category only.

     Submit a photocopy of the timing certificate acquired by you at the running events (as mentioned above) along with your application form.

    *Note: The qualification timings mentioned above are only to consider eligibility for confirmation in the half marathon race category. However, on race day, SCMM 2015 timing results, ranking and online certificates will be generated only for runners who complete the half marathon distance within 3 hours 30 min from start time.

    The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon does not endorse any race as an official qualifier and no advantage may be sought by any participant claiming a finish time from any such race. Applications for marathon and half marathon race categories of SCMM shall be accepted subject to the registration rules and regulations mentioned on the event website only. 

    (ii) Woman Runner (CLOSED)

    To encourage women runners who do not qualify under the Timed Runner criterion, there are a limited number of running places reserved for such women applicants. Such applicants are not required to submit a timing certificate along with their application form, however all other mandatory requirements for submitting an application form need to be fulfilled. Please refer to Application Form for such requirements.

    (iii) Outstation applicants*

    * not applicable for applicants residing in Mumbai city limits, Navi Mumbai and Thane.

    To encourage participation from across the country, there are a limited number of running places reserved for outstation runners. However an outstation applicant essentially needs to fulfill the criterion of a Timed Runner. At the time of registration, applicant needs to submit a copy of his/her driving license/passport/Voter’s ID/ Aadhaar Card, under this criteria. (Pan card will not be accepted)

    (iv)#Overseas applicants

    # applicants residing outside India

    To encourage overseas participation, limited number of running places have been reserved. However an overseas applicant essentially needs to fulfill the criterion of a Timed Runner.

    Charity Running Places: NGO’s registered with the Event’s official charity partner, United Way of Mumbai, have been allotted limited charity running places which can be availed of by applicants who do not fall within any of the above mentioned confirmation criteria. These running places will be available with the respective NGO’s at a premium from 1st August 2014. You may log on to the website – www.unitedwaymumbai.org/marathon for more details.

  • What will happen once I submit my Marathon/Half Marathon application under confirmation criteria?

    Your application for the marathon/half marathon will be confirmed based on the confirmation criteria mentioned above. Please note, confirmation is subject to –

    • Verification of valid timing certificate submitted by you,
    • Verification of documents, where applicable, submitted by you,
    • Verification of your application’s eligibility under each criterion,
    • Availability of running spaces under each criterion and
    • Entry Rules and Guidelines.
  • What are the advantages in me submitting a timing certificate I have received in the last one year?

    Once confirmed, the advantage will be visible on race day (Sunday, 18th January 2015). Confirmed applicants of marathon and half marathon categories will be eligible for priority line-up on race day within the line-up area in their respective timing sections. This will be based on the finish time given in the submitted timing certificate.

  • Q. Are there any confirmation preference criteria in Dream Run / Sr. Citizens’ Run / Champions with Disability?

    Confirmation preference criteria do not apply to registration and confirmation process of the Dream Run/Sr. Citizens’ Run/Champions with Disability categories. Applications for these categories will be accepted on first-come-first-serve basis, until close date of registrations or until running places for each of the categories are filled, whichever is earlier.
  • Q. Can I and my group of friends/colleagues submit our applications together as a group?

    Yes, but ONLY if you are wanting to participate in the Dream Run or Sr. Citizen’s Run or Champions with Disability. No group applications will be accepted for the Marathon and Half Marathon race categories. Also, please do not club Marathon and Half Marathon applications with group applications of Dream Run, Sr Citizen’s Run and Champions with Disability – such applications will be disqualified.

  • Q. What are the things to be remembered while submitting application forms as a GROUP?

    1. Where 20 or more individuals submit their entries together, this will constitute a group entry. All members of a group have to fill and sign individual application forms. Under ‘Application Type’ in the application form, applicants need to choose ‘Group’, mentioning the group name and size of the group.
    2. More than 35 applications from a single group/entity/association will not be accepted.
    3. Please DO NOT club Marathon and Half Marathon entries with group entries. Such entries will be disqualified.
    4. Senior Citizens’ Run Group entries: Group application forms of more than 10 participants from any group/entity/ association in Sr. Citizens’ Run need to be submitted at Harmony Interactive Centre, 5th Floor, Above Suryakant Wagal Hospital, Zaobawadi Lane, Thakurdwar, Girgaum, Mumbai 400 001. Phone: (022)32976441/32976440.No group entries for Sr. Citizens’ Run will be accepted at Standard Chartered Bank branches.
    5. Only one cheque/DD will be accepted for group entries.
    6. Each group must submit their entries together one time, in a single envelope under a covering letter of the company/NGO/ any other entity as per the given format , clearly stating –
      1. Total number of entries enclosed in each race category,
      2. Number, date, amount and bank name of cheque/DD submitted,
      3. Name and contact details of a common point of contact for the group;
      4. Covering letter needs to be on a company/NGO/ any other entity’s official letter head, duly signed and stamped by the authorized signatory.
  • Q. Can I fill a single application form on behalf of all the members of the group participating in the event?

    NO, each member/ runner needs to fill individual application form with all the mandatory fields duly filled and necessary documents attached.
  • Q. Can a representative submit applications on behalf individuals?

    Yes, however, a representative can submit individual applications of not more than 5 people.
  • Is attaching passport sized photograph with the application form/online application form compulsory?

    Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their photograph whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.
  • Q. Is attaching a Govt. issued photo ID proof with my application (including online) compulsory?

    Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their Govt. issued photo ID proof whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.

    Govt. issued photo ID proof will include documents like Passport, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card.

  • Q. I am a student and do not possess any of the above ID proofs. What do I submit along with my application?

    We will accept valid school / college identity cards for students below the age of 18 years.
  • Q. On what grounds can my entry be rejected or declared invalid?

    Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below. A regret letter will be sent to the address mentioned in the form spelling out the reason for not accepting your entry.

    1. Incomplete form submitted,
    2. Waiver not signed,
    3. Applicant is underage for the race chosen,
    4. Mutilated form/cheque/demand draft/currency notes submitted,
    5. More than one entry form received from the same applicant,
    6. Short receipt or non-receipt of entry fee,
    7. Local Mumbai cheque not submitted,
    8. Required documents not attached/submitted/submitted documents not valid,
    9. Cheque or demand draft submitted not cleared by the Bank,
    10. Running places are full,
    11. Any other reason.
  • Q. What options do I have in case my application gets rejected?

    Unsuccessful applicants can approach participating NGO’s for available Charity running numbers. Such charity running spaces will be available at a premium, the proceeds going for the benefit of the chosen NGO. List of participating NGO’s offering charity running numbers is uploaded on www.unitedwaymumbai.org/marathon.
  • Q. Will I get a refund of my entry fees on my entry not having been accepted?

    Your entry fees will be refunded vide a NEFT transfer to you by 31st December 2014. You will be contacted on your email asking for your NEFT / Bank account details. An amount of Rs 100 will be deducted as processing charges.
  • Q. Can I transfer my application/registration in favour of another person?

    Registrations are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
  • Q. Once applied can I cancel my entry and get refund?

    Once you have applied, request for cancellation and refund will not be entertained.
  • Q. Can I change my race category once I have applied/my entry is confirmed?

    Once you have applied for a particular race category, you cannot change your race category.
  • Q. Can I register for more than one race?
